This page is for Frank. Enter the passphrase from Andy's email.
A personal AI operating system. Plain text on your own Mac that your AI can read, write and remember, so you stop starting over with context every time.
Everything here is optional except the next paragraph. You said the thing that would kill this is getting overwhelmed, so skipping something costs you nothing.
Open a new chat in Frank's Vault and type /sync-gh. If Codex asks to trust or allow the vault's hooks, say yes. From then on the vault saves itself. More on that.
Then, when you feel like it, bring one of your projects in. Every chat after that starts in Frank's Vault.
Paste this in. It reads emails you already wrote and learns how you sound. Everything it drafts afterward gets better.
Read the last 15 emails I sent from Gmail. Do not read anything I received, only what I wrote. Learn how I actually write: sentence length, how I open, how I close, how formal I am with principals versus with DPS. Then update 20-My-AI/voice.md and show me what you changed.Five minutes. Needs Gmail connected, prompt 6.
The other prompts are there when you want them. Nothing breaks if you jump around.
| Piece | What it is | Why you care |
|---|---|---|
| The vault | A folder of plain text files on your Mac | Opens in any editor, forever. No database, no account, no vendor |
| Codex | OpenAI's assistant, in your terminal | Where you talk to it. Plain English. You already think in ChatGPT, so we met you there |
| Obsidian | A browser for the folder | Draws the map of who connects to whom. The map is where it stops being a filing cabinet |
| GitHub | A private backup | A dead laptop becomes an inconvenience instead of a catastrophe |
If all four companies vanished you would still have the folder, and it would still open. The format is boring on purpose.
60-Private/ is excluded from the backup at the file level. Principal evaluations, personnel matters, anything told to you in confidence goes there and physically cannot reach GitHub. A configuration, not a promise.
Separately and firmly, no student records and nothing identifying a minor goes in this vault at all.
It never sends anything to anyone. It drafts, you send.
It never guesses. If it cannot point at a file or a connected tool it says "I do not know." In your job a confident wrong answer costs more than a missing one.
It also never deletes. Things move to 900-Bin/ and stay there.
| Thing | State | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| The vault on your Mac | done | Everything else |
| Private GitHub backup | done | Your work survives the laptop |
| Obsidian | done | Browsing, and the graph |
| Obsidian CLI | done | Faster, more accurate answers about how things connect |
| Auto-save to GitHub | one yes | The vault syncs itself every time a chat opens |
| Gmail | next | Reads for context, drafts replies in your voice |
| Google Calendar | next | Plans your day against your real schedule |
| Google Drive | next | Reads the docs you already have |
| Apple Notes | later | Phone captures land in the vault |
| Your voice profile | the one thing | It writes like you instead of like a robot |
Each is one conversation, not a project. No penalty for waiting.
If any of this starts feeling like homework, stop and type this:
Just tell me the one next thing.Real instruction, it will listen. You are not behind and you do not have to know what you are doing yet. Slow and used beats fast and abandoned.
Anything that does not make sense, send it my way.
